Short Hills, NJ – Jersey First, a non-profit organization that is fighting for lower taxes and sound economic policies in New Jersey, announced today the appointment of both Laura Janay and Rob Zwigard as Finance Co-Chairs for Jersey First.
“We are thrilled to have Laura and Rob join Jersey First to help us in our mission to identify and advocate for lower taxes and less spending,” said Rosemary Becchi, President of Jersey First. “Their experience, energy, and insights will provide an invaluable source of leadership and expertise to help Jersey First grow, but more importantly, help New Jerseyans bring new and sustainable economic solutions to the forefront in Trenton and Washington, D.C.,” said Becchi.
Rob Zwigard brings a proven record of success from the financial services world where he currently serves as a senior executive in the wealth management industry. Rob also brings a wealth of civic leadership, experience, and insights from his work in Morris County as the Executive Director of the Morris County Victory PAC.
“It’s a great tragedy that the question for so many New Jersey families and businesses at this point is not if, but when they will leave the State. Trenton has failed us, and we need an organization that will provide policy ideas and proposals, as well as aggressively advocate for those proposals to make New Jersey an affordable place to raise a family and own a business. I am excited and greatly appreciative of the opportunity to work with Rosemary and Jersey First,” said Zwigard.
Laura Janay is a former marketing executive and currently resides with her family in Short Hills, New Jersey. “I am thrilled to join Rosemary and Jersey First in this fight for fiscal sanity in New Jersey. For years, our taxes have been too high, and instead of implementing policies that would lower taxes and reduce spending, Governor Murphy is just making New Jersey even more unaffordable. It’s time to stand up and have our voices heard, and Jersey First is the vehicle to help New Jerseyans do just that,” said Janay.
“Jersey First is just getting started. We are reviewing policy ideas and urgently looking to build a plan that will address New Jersey’s fiscal mess. We are grateful to have the talents of both Laura and Rob on the team and look forward to meeting and communicating with New Jerseyans in the days, weeks, and months ahead,” said Becchi.
